2013 4-H Summer Camp Leadership Team
4-H Camp is run by a teen staff that trains year round to prepare for the week up at camp. Staff are responsible for all daily camp activities from inspiration to hikes to campfire. Additionally they also take the time to prepare nature based education sessions that are both informative and fun! Teens are high school age youth who are dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic about providing the campers with the best experience possible. This teen staff camper relationship is one of many things that makes 4-H camp unique and great.
Being a staffer at 4-H camp also provides numerous opportunities to the youth. These opportunities include but are not limited to, leadership experience, countless hours of community service, a chance to work with other youth and the opportunity to create memories that will last a life time |

Camps Food Workers Course
Hello
Camp Staffers:
In
preparation for Summer Camp, it is mandatory
that all of you take the
Camp Food Worker’s Training as you will all be helping serve
food during camp. Please complete the online training as soon as
possible. At the end of the online training, there is an area where you
can print out your certificate to certify that you took the course. There
is a section where you enter the “dates valid” and that should be the two week
time period around camp (June 22, 2013-June 30, 2013). Once complete,
please print a copy to keep for yourself, then scan and email Dawn a PDF version
of it at [email protected]. The
certificate must be emailed or sent in the mail to Dawn by June 18, 2013.
Watch Presentation (Here) There are occasionally problems with the SB County Website in getting the online training to work. Last year, we found that sometimes the problem lay in the browser you were using and it seemed to require Mozilla or Firefox. When you go to the link, there will be a blank screen for a long period of time and then it will eventually load. There should not be any sort of fee required to take the course. If you have any problems with the website, you must contact the SB County Website Administrator. The certificate must be emailed or sent in the mail to Dawn by June 18, 2013. Make sure to keep an extra copy for yourself and bring it to camp with you. Dawn’s email is [email protected] and the mailing address is: Dawn A.
