What is 4-H Camp?

4-H Camp is a leadership project for enrolled members of the 4-H Youth Program. Camp staff, in conjunction with five adult directors plan the camp program from January until camp begins during the 4th week of June. At regular meetings and staff training events they plan the  games, skits, songs, nature educations, hikes, swimming events, arts and crafts projects, activities, S.E.T. curriculum, etc. to give camp participants a week of fun they will always remember. The camp activities are planned, organized and led by the youth staff. Campers are divided into  four teams with staff members as leaders. Teams meet every day to plan skits, hike, attend nature education sessions and have fun. Camp is a place to meet people and make life-long friendships. You must be at least 8 years old to attend 4-H Camp and currently enrolled in 4-H.

There are occasionally problems with the SB County Website in getting the online training to work.  Last year, we found that sometimes the problem lay in the browser you were using and it seemed to require Mozilla or Firefox.  When you go to the link, there will be a blank screen for a long period of time and then it will eventually load.  There should not be any sort of fee required to take the course.  If you have any problems with the website, you must contact the SB County Website Administrator. The certificate must be emailed or sent in the mail to Keith by June 16, 2017. Make sure to keep an extra copy for yourself and bring it to camp with you.

Hello Camp Staffers: In preparation for Summer Camp, it is mandatory that all of you take the Camp Food Worker’s Training as you will all be helping serve food during camp.  Please complete the online training as soon as possible.  At the end of the online training, there is an area where you can print out your certificate to certify that you took the course.  There is a section where you enter the “dates valid” and that should be the two week time period around camp (June 18, 2017 - June 25, 2017.  Once complete, please print a copy to keep for yourself, then scan and email Keith a PDF version of it at kcnathaniel@ucanr.edu.  The certificate must be emailed or sent in the mail to Keith by
June 9, 2017.
